Curl problem with installation

Last week I found out that my PHP installation of PHP 5.2 using the windows MSI install went wrong because of the of the Curl module. The only log entry that shows that 'something' went wrong is: [Mon Nov 15 18:52:55 2010] [warn] pid file C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/logs/httpd.pid overwritten -- Unclean shutdown of previous Apache run?
