No, your answer was defensive/abusive, as always. I knew better than to
expect 'Thanks for debugging that Steph!' but I didn't actually expect you
to try and blame me for your workaround. I should've thought twice.

Interesting. The RMs told us the 2nd. Either way, I'm not sure what my
happiness has to do with it. Or why you're arguing a point we already agreed
on, come to that.

Pierre: PHP 6 was not a working build at that point, and God only knows it's
a million light years from any form of release. The test suite wasn't
usable; come to that, it still wasn't usable last time I checked. Very few
people had been merging to HEAD, much less from HEAD to 5_3, and this had
been the case for years not weeks. Your request at that time was not only
made in an aggressive way, it was also unreasonable. Your responses to
anything I post are *always* unreasonable. Even 'happy birthday', for pity's
sake.

The nature of your communications and pattern of behaviour over the last
near-decade strongly suggests otherwise. Most OSS developers would work with
those already working on a given area of code and see them as useful people,
not try to disenfranchise them.
