It's way late to talk about dropping support for any SAPI in PHP 5.3.* IMHO. 
If you're planning to do this (and I assume you're saying it on M$ advice) 
then it would be better to give plenty of warning beforehand, ie do it in 
PHP 6 and make sure that the manual/php.ini in 5.3/whatever mentions that 
support will be dropped in 6.0.
