MDAC 2.8 SDK looks like the right one:

My machine doesn't validate as 'Genuine Windows' and never has, despite the 
fact that it's an IBM laptop with XP pre-installed. So if anyone could 
manually get the relevant headers/libs to me I'd be very grateful.
