hi,

The following libraries have been updated (links below):

- Openssl 0.9.8h
Security fixes upstream. Upgrade recommended. Snaps are being
updated, all branches will use the new versions.

- C-Client 2007b
Security fixes upstream. Upgrade recommended. Snaps are being
updated, all branches will use the new versions. I'm cleaning a patch
for the extension to use the new safer API (all platforms). I'm not
sure we can update the library for 5.2 as well, or at least not now. I
like to have more tests&feedbacks before breaking 5.2 :-)

- dirent
Minor CFlag improvement to silent warnings at link time

The new libs:

- libmcrypt 2.5.8
Sources contain project files for vc6/8/9. The builds are now done
in separate directories using the now common structure:
architecture/config/ (x64/Debug). Only 5.3+ will use it.

- openldap
Openldap is now available for all VC versions. Due to the lack of
tests in ext/ldap, I did not test it intensively. It would be nice if
someone can run some known apps using the new libraries against a ldap
server (with or without ssl) or ActiveDirertory. I'm setting up a
server with ldap to test it, but I will not have the time to finish
before the 2nd half of July.

The last libraries I like to get done as as soon as possible is ICU.
To Zend: Can you take care of it? What we need is:

- builds for VC6, VC8 (x86 and x64) and optionally VC9
- Instructions to explain the build process (easy for 3.8 and vc8,
trickier for vc6/vc9 or ICU 3.6...)
- Patched sources if required

I hope to be done with the guideline on how to build libraries for PHP
(flags, settings, naming, etc.), but in the meantime feel free to drop
us a mail or join us on IRC. I will answer your questions "live" :)
