Thank you!  So, my next big question is ...

After I've done the nmake and the build is complete, where's the build?  Is
a .dll created somewhere?  So far, I dont see one.

I have found a "Release" directory that appears to have the build in it, but
it doesn't have a YAZ ext listed.  Could it still be yaz-enabled?

Things are so much easier on Linux.
