Consensus and Voting

    Since we have a lot to discuss and to decide, we need some
    form of communicating opinions on certain issues. To do so
    effectively, we could in some way "formalize" certain parts
    of the consensus forming process.

    I'm not sure whether the Apache voting system makes sense
    for this open group. I certainly don't want John Doe to join
    the mailing list and "veto" anything. Should new members be
    approved (i.e. by the current group)?

    Alternative proposals?
