problem php4 upgrade

Hi, i'm newbie.
i've upgrade from php3 to php4 an now i don't know why my php3 programs
can`t read it on the browser
for example
http://server/example.php3 
the browser say me if i want to download.

I use apache server.

can anybody help me?
