thats great news! I do not know why I have not been receiving from the
mailing-list since 2015, so its the first time I am reading about this.

Apologies, but I ensured that za1.php.net will now also be able to serve
via www.php.net. What happens with the "naked" domain: php.net?

It will most probably also drive more traffic to the mirror sites as
there are some cases where a geo-redirect does not happen.
