Yeah. Like I said, I am just hoping for some people to start the  
doing. If Zendcon helps in the sense that a couple people meet and  
just start hacking/testing. All the merrier. I am sure that if we have  
movement from 2-3 driver developers, the community will come on board  
and then hopefully other vendors. I am just looking for a spark here.  
Lets hope Zendcon can do that for us. If not then maybe one of the  
European conferences. Or maybe we should strive for a virtual get  
together?

#php.pecl on the efnet IRC servers would be a good place to hang  
out .. heck to make it even easier I am now going to hang out on  
#php.pdo on freenode for the next few weeks. feel free to join and  
idle until we have enough people in there to have a good discussion.

The good news is that several vendors have replied to this email.  
Nobody has asked to not be included in the CC anymore (or are people  
relying on spam filters for this these days?). I am also expecting  
that some first need to clear things with their managers before they  
feel comfortable to reply (in order to not raise false expectations).
