thats all good. usually we are quite liberal with handing out svn  
accounts. in theory we could handout accounts immediately upon  
request, but it has proven to be better for new comers to in the begin  
pass through their patches to some proxy person. this way you first  
learn how to write the fix, follow the CS and only after that you need  
to worry about svn stuff and being able to tell on your own that you  
are not going to break the build.

so any time you can spend looking through the bug db, verifying and  
writing patches would be very very helpful.
whenever you need someone else to take some steps, just let this list  
know. ok?
