Right, so we sit at a bar, have some nice discussion and I(*) have a
great idea for PDO, we discuss that idea, improve it and have a great
idea for PDO. In the next morning you sit down and extend the spec and
commi-oh, you can't commit it, it wasn't your idea, I have IP rights on
it, too, did I sign the CLA? Maybe, maybe not, if not you can't take the
idea and have to forget it. And well, many ideas come from users, we the
developers just use a small subset of the functionality...

(*) Disclaimer: My employer, MySQL AB, would sign that CLA for me so
from that point of view it's no issue for me, but still I might leave
the company some day and I like getting contributions from the outside.
