What gives you that impression? If you were known to be part of the working 
group, you would have access because someone in php.net would back your 
claim pronto. If you weren't, you'd get a response that says 'well nobody 
here knows you or your code, send in some patches first."

You're not getting it. We're trying to AVOID a split. I'm not the best 
equipped to argue with you, but I'm noisy and I know a lot about how php.net 
works...
