I am also happy to spend some time working on the Firebird/Interbase driver, but currently it is easier to simply switch between PDO for MySQl and Postgres and the other generic drivers. Just getting the basic DATA stuff working transparently is what is preventing me being able to use the current pdo_firebird driver (using blobs as text fields! ). In any case I need ADOdb on top anyway to provide the SQL abstraction so it make little difference to me if MySQl or Postgres are using PDO or their generic drivers. Moodle has just moved over and now we have to port a copy of the other ADOdb drivers into the new moodle library. THAT is the major blocker to making any progress. Without a clean higher level library that we can standardise on, PDO is holding back progress rather than leading the way. -- Lester Caine - G8HFL ----------------------------- Contact - http://lsces.co.uk/wiki/?page=contact L.S.Caine Electronic Services - http://lsces.co.uk EnquirySolve - http://enquirysolve.com/ Model Engineers Digital Workshop - http://medw.co.uk// Firebird - http://www.firebirdsql.org/index.php
