So is unilaterally putting a closed module into php.net CVS, Wez. Consider 
your wrist slapped.

Has anybody considered the option of maintaining CLA'd modules in 
non-php.net territory (I'm thinking of Zend) and donating specs/code from 
there to php.net? Apart from resolving the legal dilemma, it might nudge 
individual developers into making a spare-time commitment to php.net if they 
see their baby going into the wilds...

It probably wouldn't solve the problem of what we do if another 
Wez/Ilia/Marcus turns up with bright ideas for PDO development, but it would 
at least allow php.net folks to maintain the code.
