I'm using SVN 1.7.10 and PHP 5.4.24, which are the standard versions on
OS X.

I've tried PHPCS 1.5.4 as well as the latest code from the Git repo for
both the 1.x 
and 2.x branches. All of them work the same way.

But the error you are getting is not from PHP_CodeSniffer.
PHP_CodeSniffer doesn't 
require a network connection.

The strange thing is that svnlook shouldn't require a network connection
either 
because it can only be run on the same server as the SVN repository. So
I don't know 
where that error is coming from.

And yes, you can send me the file you are checking so I can test it if
you'd like. It's 
probably best to put it somewhere like gist.github.com or pastebin.com
so it doesn't 
get broken by the bug tracker.

Sorry, I meant that I tested the SVN pre-commit hook using an SVN
repository hosted 
on my local machine. So there was no network involved; just a direct
call to phpcs and 
svnlook via the pre-commit script.

when i used patch for Fixed bug #20402 ,  now the error message is the
same as this bug  in svn

that you mean you tested PHP_CodeSniffer doesn't use svn? only tested
PHP_CodeSniffer for phpcs ?

I get your error messages via email so I can translate them. But again,
this one says 
that the network connection closed. I can't help you with that because I
don't know 
anything about SVN.

But I've tested PHP_CodeSniffer with the pre-commit hook and it is
working fine. So I 
don't think there is anything I can do to help you fix this.
