Summary: PHPCS Hangs on Parsing Javascript File
Status: Open
Type: Bug
Package: PHP_CodeSniffer
Operating System: Ubuntu
Package Version: 1.3.0
PHP Version: Irrelevant
Roadmap Versions:
New Comment:
Actually, the current firebug-lite-debug.js only parses if the extension
on the file is changed (my copy had been automatically renamed to .js.1
by wget). So you can download the file from
http://getfirebug.com/firebug-lite-debug.js and try it out.

This is annoying, I can't upload my test file because it's too big, and
the current firebug-lite-debug.js file parses correctly and finishes in
a few seconds.

Description:
------------
During testing I discovered that PHPCS wasn't parsing one particular
file. It's been running for over 30 minutes now trying to parse this
one file. I don't expect it will ever finish.
Test script:
---------------
I'm actually usin PHP 5.3.3 but I can't select that from the drop down.
phpcs firebug-lite-debug.js
Expected result:
----------------
Should return with no output, it isn't a php file and there's no php
code in it.
Actual result:
--------------
PHPCS never returns, and doesn't print the status character (for example
'E' or '.') like it normally does for other files.
