Don't you mean System_Daemon::setOption('appRunAsGID', 0); ?

While running the daemon script initially with --write-initd, I
encounter fatal php
error in theline which calls setOption()
I installed the System_Daemon package via pear. This error occurrecd
Then uninstalled from the pear, downloaded from the git repo, and
included
the Daemon.php from its extracted location. Same error still.
I have about a year older version up and running on this same server.
Test script:

Expected result:

Actual result:
