This is a duplicate of bug 18405

which is itself a bug of the PEAR package #18638
http://pear.php.net/bugs/bug.php?id=18638
which can't be fixed because PEAR, in this day and age, still supports
PHP versions 4 and below.
On a side note, if a bug is operating system-independent, please do not
spam the bug management system with duplicates. This is a repetition of
bug 18739.
