I'm not sure what this is referring to. The tools all worked. And let's be frank: it was SVN which was a PITA to work with. ;-)

I haven't seen the existing tools used for php-src. What do you mean with "clean"?
I tried to log into the PR interface this morning and it didn't work. I didn't ask Johannes or DSP yet.

As I said before, the github feature set is much more than "git hosting". When I review a PR without the github tools, none of this is there (currently).
How do you refine the submissions from people? How do you communicate that git.php.net is the primary but you want PRs on github.com/pear?

Yeah, I can read a diff, but how do I reference it? In email? I think a lot of convenience is lost when git.php.net is the primary.
