I'd like to ask you guys to not move any code I work on/maintain as I prefer github.com for this and won't have time to build out tools which are already available. I put up with github because it's forced upon me not because it does anything any better than the alternatives. Hg will remain my preferred route even though the git camp ignored any discussion over the PHP repo's and third parties are developing a lot of nice improvements to the hggit bridge - better in some areas than git itself. WHERE it's hosted to a certain extent is irrelevant since we can all host our own ports, it's where the discussions take place, and that is here. If people try to force a move of that to github, then I think there will be less support rather than more. github is simply not a 'social space' for php developers. If you want more involvement, then what is needed is a good PHP powered social space rather than one where we have to learn other programming languages to tinker ... why not just use the other langauges for everything? If I want to get more out of Hg I have to use Python, and if I could be bothered to do that then why use PHP at all ... -- Lester Caine - G8HFL ----------------------------- Contact - http://lsces.co.uk/wiki/?page=contact L.S.Caine Electronic Services - http://lsces.co.uk EnquirySolve - http://enquirysolve.com/ Model Engineers Digital Workshop - http://medw.co.uk Rainbow Digital Media - http://rainbowdigitalmedia.co.uk
