Hey guys,

was wondering what you thought about going 2.0.0-alpha1 and dropping PHP4
support once and for all.

The objectives would be to fix the unit tests which currently do not run
first and then finish the rest of the roadmap:
http://pear.php.net/bugs/roadmap.php?roadmapdetail=1.10.0&package=PEAR#a1.10.0

We could go even crazier and drop pecl support from the source and start
using pickle (the code written for composer). ;)
