That's not the problem here. (I thought that this line would be missing, but I was wrong. It doesn't hurt to have it.) There are two problems: (1) In html-css.xml you have these two lines inside the <sect2> tag: &package.html.html-css.faq; &package.html.html-css.whatsnew; If you put these two "references" into another <sect3> tag, the first errors are gone. (Note: The refs to "...api;" and "...errorhandler;" are fine. The system only doesn't like the combination of <sect2> and <sect3>.) (2) api.xml won't work in the current way. References to e.g. &package.html.html-css.html-css.html-css; are not allowed inside <refsect1>. I'm not a Docbook expert but I guess that you'll need to follow the example of html-css.xml (using <sect*>). Regards, Mark -- http://www.markwiesemann.eu
