pear does not list any installed packages.

Dear List,

This is what is happening on my RHEL 7 Server.  I have installed Horde
Groupware
WebMail edition (HGWE 5.2.4).  (pear.horde.org) using pear.

My last upgrade was on 24 January, 2015.  But, now, when I am trying
to run

pear list -c pear.horde.org
(no packages installed from channel pear.horde.org)

it does not list any packages installed.  It has forgotten everything.
  Even it had actually forgotten the discovered channel
pear.horde.org, and I did channel-discover again.

Just want to your guidance on what would have happened and how do I
recover.  Basically, I wanted to upgrade to HGWE 5.2.5 which is just
released.

Where does the pear read the installed information?  What would have
gone wrong?  Please guide to r

recover from this problem.
