Package Games_Chess - Lead Takeover Request

Hello,

My name is John Nahlen and I have been a PHP developer for approximately
four years now. I noticed that the Games_Chess package isn't currently being
maintained. I would like to help.
As a state and national chess champion, I have a firm understanding of the
rules of the game.

I am currently trying to integrate the Games_Chess package into one of my
projects. Noting that the code is a number of years old, this package has a
problem with the strict standards that I have set up on my server.

Some improvements that I would like to make:

Clean up Strict Standards problem
Further usability by creating methods to access a certain square of the
internally represented chess board
Add bughouse support
Add additional usability as needed
Fix some items in code that I noted could cause some parsing problems
Fix the bugs that have been reported
