The code recently moved to 
> https://github.com/pear/File_Find
so you can fork it and do the first fixes and commits.

After you did that, send pull requests, comment on the bugs and ask for
review on the pear-dev list.

When a number of patches have been applied, you'll be given maintainer
status.
