Mailing List Subscription Web UI Not Working

I was unable to subscribe to the mailing lists using the Web interface 
(http://pear.php.net/support/lists.php). I used my work account and also 
my Gmail account and never received the confirmation mail as advised.

I was able to subscribe by following the instructions for ezmlm 
(http://www.ezmlm.org/ezman-0.32/ezman1.html) and sending an email to 
each pear-*[email protected]. If the problem with the Web form 
cannot be remedied, I suggest replacing it with such instructions for 
the time being.
