There has been no publicly announced timeline or project management
schedule for this work.  The person spear heading this work also appears to
be busy with alot of university exams and such.  I wouldn't wait for this
to occur if you are expecting it to be done soon.

There may be other discussions going on behind the scenes that I am not
privy to.  My philosopy is to assume the worst unless you hear otherwise
:-)
