  Their API design and overall approach was "flawed" (which is a bit harsh,
but i'm lacking a better word in english right now).

  Ulf Wendel, Sterling Hughes, Johann-Peter Hartmann, BjÃ¶rn Schotte and some
others had a discussion about the requirements and design goals of a generic
Cache API on IRC. This is what evolved out of this.
