What a coincidence, i had the same thought recently, but i was not sure if
this  conforms to "PEAR-Standards". But i think, that this would be good
for both parts since more people get attracted to PEAR and the PEAR-Lovers
give input to this phplib stuff, therefore the community is not divided
in two different projects (although competition is not a bad thing..). if
we can make PEAR::DB faster, i see this as the right way.
and i'm very willing to help with that.
