Quoting Björn Schotte <[email protected]>: > Yes, Auth depends on Session. But (I'm not very familiar with > CPAN, but I think it is) is it true that on CPAN you find > a lot of modules which depend on other modules, isn't it? Let me try again. User authentication/permissions/etc. is a big, complicated area. Phplib's solutions for that area aren't generic solutions that let you tackle any project; they're specific solutions that let you tackle some smaller/simpler kinds of projects. Therefore, I don't think they should become the "PEAR Auth", "PEAR User", etc. official solutions. I can live with them being inside a PHPLib/ directory, and being PHPLib_Auth, etc. But if they're going to be in PEAR, even in a PHPLib/ directory, they should follow PEAR conventions, so they're going to change, and their current API will break... -chuck -- Charles Hagenbuch, <[email protected]> "Live, from Washington, where the doctors were telling us what they did, and did not, do with Vice President Cheney." -Dan Rather
