Apparently Omar is not properly responsive yet.
I've created some maintainer related PRs for him to comment on, but he 
has not approved or commented on those.

So, I am going to propose that someone here with "power" makes the 
decision on if I should be accepted as a maintainer for the extension, 
and if so, give me write permissions on the GitHub repository.

What I will do then is:
* Merge the Windows fix PR
* Create the "php8.1 compatibility" release

After that, I can wait for more feedback on the two other "active" PRs.
