My only issue here is "yet another serialization format" - I was happy that more things are leaning towards json which has emerged as a standard enough way to replace XML for interchange formats, and natively is consumable by client side too. :) I guess the world is full of options though. It's hard to keep coding on things though when everything is a moving target!
