PECL Intercept still alive?

Hi guys! I didn't find another way to resolve my doubts... so, i wrote this
mail.

I'd like know if the intercept extension will be mantained? There is some
promissor roadmap or plans to move these functions to the core or modify the
magic method __call() to intercept implemented methods?
