+1 GoPHP6 W should skip PHP5 and directly to PHP6 if we really want to rewrite Smarty (for new coding styles, new OOP platterns, new features etc) But after all, we should make sure our existing codes never break PHP4. It is not our job to promote PHP5, isn't? Anyway, is it too late...
