Smarty and MMCache

Hi everyone

I'm planning to use mmCache in my site, the question is it compatible
with Smarty ? I'm using Smarty to generate my pages and (and cache
some pages) and I don't want to modify my scripts

so it is possible to use mmCache (to speed up PHP 5) with Smarty
without using any plug-in ?

also if the answer is yes, it is possible also to use mmCache encoder
(to encrypt the PHP scripts) with Smarty ?
