Thanks for that Andrew. I've got to wait for the original asker to get
back to me.

Is there a way to "see" what is going on during the translation from
the PHP array() to the XML request? A log, report, anything which can
be shown so in future, any problems that occur I can at least make
sure what is being processed is valid.

I suppose the fundamental question is what converts the array to XML and how.
