Jesus M. Castagnetto has written a general CachedTemplate class which is compatible with PHPLIB Template system. (The CachedTemplate class is also suited for many other php template systems: Fastemplate, Xtemplates, Quicktemplates,....). The benchmarks are impressive and it is very easy to implement.
