I know this, and without any intention to upset anyone
involved in the making of PHP, I think everybody would
benefit if it was released a bit later. From a quick
look at the bug page, some of the bugs I'd say are more
of a results of misconfiguration, but anyway... There
were discussions about PHP vs theotherthing, someone
mentioning the 'it's open source, so it's not much
reliable, right?' approach, and I don't think releasing
PHP4 with 488 open items in the bug list will help to
revert this.

Then again, I'm just a small guy who just plays with PHP...
For the record, I would love to help close some of the
items. If I knew any of C.
