Everyone who is saying that it's too early to release PHP 4.0 should take
a note from history...

Linux did not become so popular by being the best, the most stable, the
most well documented, the most bug free.

It won by "release early, release often". I quoth from "The Cathedral and
the Bazaar":

	"Linus was aiming to maximize the number of person hours thrown at
	 debugging and development, even at the possible cost of
	 instability and user-base burnout if any serious bug proved
	 intractable."

I know I have not added very much to PHP, but I want to see this thing go
release so that more people will use it. This will show us more bugs, give
us more feature requests, and by golly, it will KEEP THINGS INTERESTING.
As a volunteer, I need an incentive to keep adding what little I can to
PHP. This is Open Source.

I know I will never be Rasmus or Zeev, getting the respect of people I've
never even met, so the only thing that keeps me going is the hope that
this stuff will go somewhere. If we hold off release until "all
reproducible bugs are fixed", eventually, some of the volunteers will
start to burn out. And people will stop waiting to start new projects in
PHP 4 and will write them in PHP 3, or some commercial product that will
get them what they want.

Release away.
