If this was always followed there would be no PHP and a lot of other neat
stuff would never see the light of day.  I'm no professional programmer,
and I certainly didn't do it right when I released the first version of
PHP.  There were thousands of bugs and hundreds of serious architectural
problems.  It probably couldn't have been more wrong.  Yet, there were a
couple of good ideas here and there and people recognized these and
started sending patches and suggestions and thus a new project or in fact
a whole new community was born.
