problem with post variables

None of my forms seem to be working now - i just resinstalled php-4.0.0-
to update it for gd
no post requests work at all - I tried php4rc2 and the same result - I
know it was working before im using freebsd 3.3 

configure was './configure' '--enable-track-vars' '--enable-trans-sid'
'--with-apache=../apache'
                                                '--with-mysql'
'--with-pgsql' '--with-gd=/usr/local' '--with-ttf=/usr/local'
'--with-gettext'
                                                                  
'--disable-debug' '--with-ftp' '--with-imap'


Im going absolutely crazy here, I can't understand why all my forms are
now failing.

I reinstaledd a completely ne apache and php-4.0.0 and still get the
same problem.
