error with phpinfo()

Having a rather unusual problem with php 4.0.0.

Everything works beautifully until I run phpinfo().  The page will hang
while loading and no other pages will load on the server until I restart
apache.  Anyone else run into this?

Running php4 with oracle and oci8 support on Linux.
