In php3 existed the possibility to use more than one odbc flavour, to
allow for more than one ODBC/CLI library to be linked with php without
using a driver manager.
For this, you would have to tweak the compilation and I don't know
anyone who has actually used it.
This is no longer supported in php4, we now have decent odbc
drivermanagers around.

Anyway, in both cases, giving more than one flavour will work or not,
depending on the combination given.

I will contact Andrew Hill so that he can update the ODBC-PHP Howto.
