./configure dies with the following:
checking for recode support... configure: error: I cannot link librecode
(-L/usr
/local/lib -lrecode). Is it installed?
As far as I know, recode is properly installed in /usr/local/lib. I
noticed a patch (or something... message listed below) came out from
Sascha which seemed to address the issue, but I am unable to apply the
patch... When I attempt to apply it it fails to work all the way
through... maybe I somehow got a messed up version of the patch?
If anyone has addressed this problem successfuly I'd appreciate advice,
or a working version of the patch with instructions on how to apply it
to the source tree...
Thanks,
Alvin
