Rick Rodgers suggested that I give some instructions on how to subscribe to 
these mailing lists - which is a good idea.  Basically, in order to 
subscribe to a given mailing list, you should send an empty message to
[email protected]
(e.g., [email protected]).
After a short period of time you'll receive back a letter that will ask you 
to confirm your subscribtion;  Simply reply to it (no need to write 
anything) - and send it away.  That's the trick.
