This is expected behavior. It's the browser which does this. As long 
as it isn't closed it will send that password "hidden" with EACH 
request to that URL (or any URL "below" it). Otherwise you would have 
to re-authenticate yourself manually for each single page.
You have to use a form and rely only on php for authentication for 
your purpose.
