I asked first. :) You said, that there is no company behind the project.
That was repeated numerous times in the mailing list (that php is developed
by a few inviduals and the community, in the spare time of the contributors,
etc.), but I think that there are some clear overlappings between the two
group (zend and the php contributors). Quoting from zend.com:
