Thanks Sascha. I tried this post and a couple of other before but still no luck. I thas been very frsutrating as the php.net site does not have good detailed documentation. I stillr eceive the error below. When I go to the command prompt and ty php -info I can see php is working. it just does not want to serve it from the server. I changed point 6 on the iis install to reflect php5 not php. Any ideas will be appreciated. Server Error in '/' Application. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There is no build provider registered for the extension '.php'. You can register one in the <compilation><buildProviders> section in machine.config or web.config. Make sure is has a BuildProviderAppliesToAttribute attribute which includes the value 'Web' or 'All'.
