Quite the wrong list. This list is for developing the XML extension in 
PHP, not for working with them. Furthermore, your problem has nothing to 
do with the XML support itself, but is a general PHP problem.

yep, does not work. You have to encode [ somehow. I don't know the best 
solution right now for this, maybe just replacing it with some other 
unique char and later convert it back...
